The educational, cultural and scientific ‘St. Grigor Narekatsi Foundation’ has a statutory purpose to:

Develop and improve knowledge of the Armenian language, culture and history within the Armenian community in The Netherlands and abroad, to bring attention to this knowledge in the societies where the Armenian community is settled, to carry out this knowledge in a broad and contemporary manner, and to do all that is connected and conducive to it.

The foundation attempts to reach this goal through organizing and/or supporting educational, cultural and scientific activities, such as:

• Running a permanent Armenian Sunday School in collaboration with the ‘Holy Spirit’ Armenian-Apostolic Church in Amsterdam;
• Hosting guest lectures, seminars, conferences;
• Executing exchange projects, scientific research and translations;
• Organizing festivals, concerts, gatherings, readings, excursions and exhibitions;
• Cooperating with cultural, educational and scientific institutions and social organizations in Armenia and other places where the Armenian community is established.
